Enrollment:

Students are enrolled on a continuous basis year-round. We are currently enrolling for the school year 2008-2009 in all grades. We have a limited number of openings for each grade level. The maximum number of students is 15 per school year with a student teacher ratio of 5  to 1.

Please call the Owens Academy to schedule an interview and tour of our school. Both the parent and the student must be present during the interview.

Parents should bring students past years' school record, to include behavioral record, report card ITBS, CRCT or other assessment scores. If the student has an IEP, parent must bring a copy of the IEP to the interview.

At the Owens Academy, we offer private education to a diverse student population that includes traditional learners and those with special needs. We understand that each student learns differently. Therefore, we unpack the instruction and tailor it to the specific needs of the learner. Our students learn in a highly structured traditional and needs specific environment. They learn both inside the classroom and the world outside. Students also learn from motivational speakers who visit the Academy to share their success stories.

Students are regularly provided leadership platforms in Chapel weekly, through public speaking, debating, community forums, and national and international travel. Students are exposed in ways that assist them in developing great leadership skills.
